Still its contribution to GDP is less than 1.75%? With the mission of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, the government plans to turn around the mining sector to be core forerunner of our $5 trillion economy. Will the flurry of structural reforms in mining sector, commercialization of mining, increased transparency and removal of bureaucratic procedures under the new Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2021 be an adequate accelerant to the unshackled mining sector?
